Version 2026-10-24-v2. This notice explains our current AI recap service and your choices.
Last updated: 24 October 2026
Where enabled, CramClass offers tutors optional AI assistance to draft lesson recaps and homework from non-identifying teaching notes. Tutors must check and edit each draft before sharing it. AI can make mistakes. Recaps do not determine grades, diagnose conditions or guarantee school admission. You can report an inaccurate recap to your tutor or contact us.
Tutors must remove names, school names, contact details and other identifying or sensitive information before requesting a draft. They must not paste a full lesson transcript, recording, health information, family circumstances or personal information about a child. CramClass also filters email addresses and phone numbers, but automated filtering is not a guarantee of anonymity.
This recap feature does not automatically send student profiles, account details, lesson video or audio to an AI provider. Google Meet handles meeting transcription separately when enabled; permission to record or transcribe a meeting is not permission to send its contents to an AI provider.
CramClass may use different AI providers for different features over time. The list below distinguishes the current integration from supported alternatives and possible future options. Listing a provider does not mean it receives your information or that you have agreed to every future use.
Only the provider configured for a feature receives the teaching text submitted to that feature. The platform does not currently send the same request to every provider or automatically switch providers when a request fails. Before adding a provider or materially changing how lesson information is used, we will update this notice and the relevant feature information and obtain fresh permission where required. This notice is not blanket consent to undisclosed providers or purposes.
Information submitted to an external AI service may be processed outside Australia. The countries involved, retention periods, deletion arrangements and model-training terms depend on the actual provider, hosting arrangement and applicable agreement. A model’s name alone does not establish those protections.
We do not make a platform-wide promise of Australia-only processing, zero provider retention or exclusion from model training. We have not established the protections needed to send personal lesson information through the current automatic transcript workflow. Identifying or sensitive lesson information must not be submitted through the manual teaching-notes feature. Any future personal-data workflow will require its own disclosed provider terms and release safeguards before use.
CramClass does not currently enable automatic AI processing of customer lesson transcripts. A published notice or an account setting does not override this restriction. Before offering this feature, we will establish the provider’s processing terms, retention and deletion procedures, and appropriate student and guardian permissions. An updated notice version and fresh permission will be required. Ordinary tutoring and manually written notes remain available.
AI drafts are private to tutor review and authorised platform administration. Students and parent contacts do not receive unapproved drafts. After tutor approval, notes appear in the student’s CramClass account and may be emailed to the student and parent contact when parent copies are enabled. A parent email address alone does not verify guardianship or grant access to recordings.
AI recap assistance is optional; declining does not prevent ordinary booking or payment. Ask your tutor to use manually written notes if you do not want AI assistance. No permission for automatic transcript processing is being requested under this version of the notice.
If you previously gave transcript AI permission, you can withdraw it through the session’s Transcript AI permission control, including while the feature is disabled. Withdrawal stops pending processing and removes unreviewed transcript drafts. It cannot recall a request already sent to a provider or email already delivered, and does not automatically delete published notes.
CramClass stores generated drafts, provider and model identifiers, tutor corrections and approval details with the lesson record. The manual recap feature does not store the tutor’s submitted input notes. Permission decisions are recorded with the actor, session, provider, notice version and time. Neither closing a dialog nor withdrawing permission automatically deletes all lesson records.
Our Privacy Policy explains general storage, security, access and deletion arrangements. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of lesson data or to make a privacy complaint. We will assess the request, verify the requester’s authority and explain any lawful reason for retaining records. Copies already emailed to recipients cannot be deleted remotely by CramClass.
This page has a permanent address. The version and update date identify its current wording. Updating this page does not rewrite previous permission records or authorise a new provider, purpose or category of information. Material changes will be explained before the affected feature is used, with fresh permission where required.
